MSME Webinar for Indonesia; MSMEs Go Digital
The development of digital technology brings opportunities for SMEs to advance their business. Seeing the rapid rhythm of digitalization and the massive digital competition, MSME actors need to be given the right assistance and training so that they are not only able to join the digital world, but are also able to survive and thrive in it. Due to this urgency, Sampoerna For Indonesia in collaboration with Bisnis Indonesia held a webinar entitled MSMEs for Indonesia, with the theme 'MSMEs Go Digital'. In the webinar series, participants are invited to learn from the experiences of MSME actors who have previously successfully utilized digital technology.
As the Association that oversees E-Commerce and the Digital Ecosystem in general, idEA was represented by Arshi Adini as Executive Director who was present as one of the speakers at the webinar. In his presentation, Arshi explained that one of the flagship programs that idEA is actively promoting is the Indonesian-made Proud Movement Program. As the name implies, the movement invites domestic consumers to have pride in buying and using local products. Business actors are also given directions to continue developing their products so that they are of higher quality and able to compete with products from abroad. According to Arshi, the main challenges faced by MSMEs in Indonesia today include capital and the high cost of logistics, especially felt by business actors in Eastern Indonesia. To overcome this, Arshi invites MSME actors to not only "onboard" the digital platform, but also enter the digital ecosystem as a whole and join the entrepreneur communities, one of which is the idEA MSME community.
