Webinar "Avoid Fake Transactions, Merchants' Track Record Must Be 'Clean'"

The advancement of the digital industry is not without challenges. One of them, of course, is the increasingly fierce trade competition among sellers in the online marketplace. Consumer behavior also continues to develop, price wars are no longer the main factor for consumers in making choices. Now, consumers are more careful in reading product reviews, stores and merchant track records before deciding to buy a product. Not only consumers, the platform also has an interest in ensuring its merchants have a good track record. Not without reason, fraud committed by unscrupulous merchants will affect consumer confidence to make transactions on the relevant platform. Having a system capable of detecting potential fraud will increase the efficiency of the platform in preventing fraud and maintaining the credibility of the platform.

Due to this urgency, idEA collaborated with Brick Technology Indonesia to hold a Webinar entitled Avoid Counterfeit Transactions, Merchants Trace Records Must be 'Clean' which was held on August 16, 2022. On this occasion, Brick Technology Indonesia introduced an Open Data service that can connect companies or individuals with the data needed for the merchant verification process. This service makes it easier for technology companies to verify user information, including the activation of telephone numbers based on activity patterns, the ID card verification process connected to Dukcapil, and verification of account numbers for payments.
