Three of 34 Provinces in Indonesia Still Free from Covid-19 Infection
The spread of the corona virus or Covid-19 is increasingly widespread in various regions. As of Monday (30/3) this virus has quickly spread to 31 provinces in Indonesia. Nevertheless, there is always hope that the public will avoid the infection. Evidently there are three provinces that have not reported the presence of their citizens infected with Covid-19.
As is known, most cases are still in DKI Jakarta, which is now the new epicenter of the spread of Covid-19, which is 698 cases. As of Monday (30/3), there were 24 new cases added. The second most 180 cases are in West Java. The new addition in West Java today exceeds DKI Jakarta, which is 25 cases.
In the third position is still Banten Province, which is 128 cases. Following East Java 91 cases, Central Java 81 cases, South Sulawesi 50 cases, Bali 19 cases, and Yogyakarta 18 cases. This number continues to be dynamic in the community. Good news comes from East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Bengkulu and Gorontalo.
These three provinces are known to have succeeded in protecting their citizens from spreading the virus from Wuhan, China. None of the people from NTT, Bengkulu, and Gorontalo were positively infected by Covid-19.
Previously, on Sunday (29/3), from 31 provinces in Indonesia, 1,285 positive cases were recorded, 114 people died and 64 people were cured. "Transmission outside is still happening, so I remind you to keep my distance," said Government Spokesperson for Covid-19 Handling, Achmad Yurianto, at a press conference at the Graha National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), Jakarta, Monday (30 / 3).
Yurianto reminded the public to keep their distance. Avoid crowds, wash your hands with soap, avoid touching your face before washing your hands. Let's help break the spread of Covid-19 while maintaining distance, and if there is no urgent need, it's better to stay at home.
