Last Friday, February 18, the General Chairperson of idEA Bima Laga was again present as a resource person at the Digital Economy Working Group Sofa Talk Series organized by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia. Sofa Talk this time raised the issue of digital literacy and skills. Also present were the Secretary General of the Ministry of Communication and Information as well as Chair of the Digital Economy Working Group G20 Mira Tayyiba and Deddy Permadi as Co-Chair. In her speech, Mira said that the discussion this time was a follow-up to the previous discussion regarding digital connectivity. After agreeing to ensure digital access and inclusiveness for all Indonesians, it is necessary to ensure that people are able to use digital facilities properly and ethically, and understand the impact of the digital ecosystem.

Regarding the relationship between digital literacy and the digital economy, Bima Laga stated that the two are closely related. For example, when conducting digital transactions, there are terms and conditions that consumers need to understand. Understanding of the terms and conditions and their contents will have an impact on consumer satisfaction and a better sustainability of the digital economy. Furthermore, Bima guarantees that idEA as an association, together with its E-Commerce members, continues to provide education about digital literacy and the digital economy, both for consumers and SMEs who sell on digital platforms.
