Directorate General of Post and Information Technology Implementation, Ministry of Communications and Informatics invited Indonesian E-commerce Association (idEA) together with representatives of the Ministry of Transportation, Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Trade, Directorate General of Customs and Excise, Agriculture Quarantine Agency, BAPPENAS, Financial Services Authority, Bareskim Polri, Asperindo, YLKI and e-commerce entrepreneurs in the Focus Group Discussion Compilation Study of the National Post Industry Industry Development Model in the Era of Ecommerce with the theme "Consumer Protection as a Success Factor of Postal Organizing in the Era of Ecommerce" on Monday and Tuesday, 7 - 8 May 2018, located at Hotel Sahira Bogor. 

The Forum Group Discussion (FGD) aims to collect primary data from various ministries / institutions as stakeholders in relation to the existing conditions of postal administration in the era of e-commerce as well as various problems encountered, especially in the aspect of consumer protection, referring to Presidential Decree No.74 of 2017 on the E-commerce Roadmap. 

The points of recommendation of IDEA as the Government's consideration in refining the consumer protection policy during FGD are (1) related to the safe harbor; (2) related playing field level; (3) related to one door grievance system. In essence, the idEA insists that in this case, not only the consumer is protected but the industry must also be guaranteed by guaranteed protection by the regulator.
