Last Thursday, February 24, the General Chair of the Indonesian E-Commerce Association, Bima Laga, was present as a resource at the Media Discussion which raised the theme of the benefits of fulfillment centers from logistics service providers for business advancement of MSME players, namely in terms of shipping cost efficiency. Along with Bima, there were also resource persons from Smesco, Shipper and Sicepat. As the opening ceremony, Smesco Indonesia's Director of Business and Marketing, Wientor Rah Mada explained that logistics costs can be more affordable if the products are available close to the market. For this reason, KemenkopUKM through Smesco will soon build a prototype fulfillment center that can accommodate 150 thousand MSME products.

In line with this, Bima stated that currently, access to a wider market is still a challenge for MSME players. Therefore, there needs to be a logistics solution that is able to bring MSME products closer to the market, so that both sellers and consumers will benefit because shipping costs become more efficient and products arrive faster. A fulfillment center provided by a logistics service provider can be a solution to make the online buying and selling process more efficient and the consumer journey more enjoyable.
