Come on, support the circulation of the starter pack in an inactive state, session 2
In accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Communication and Information Number 5 of 2021 concerning Telecommunications Operations Chapter XIII regulates the provisions for the Registration of Telecommunication Service Customers, the circulation of telephone starter packs must be sold in an inactive state, so to activate it the buyer needs to register by registering the NIK and No. registered KK. This is intended to avoid using the phone number for things like fraud and other criminal acts. This is because a phone number is now required to create an account for almost all applications, digital marketplaces and digital payment systems. Unfortunately, many irresponsible people who sell starter packs are active, with registered data belonging to other people. Things like this will certainly make it difficult to track and take action when the number is used for criminal acts, because the data used is stolen data.
In order to provide education and socialization to Telecommunication Service Providers, Distributors, Agents, Outlets, Pelapak to the general public regarding the obligation to circulate starter packs in an inactive state, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia held a Webinar with the theme "Let's Support the Circulation of Prime Cards in Inactive Conditions". Active on Thursday, March 24, 2022. Head of PPGR idEA, Rofi Uddarojat was present as a panelist. On this occasion, idEA expressed its support for efforts to prevent the circulation of starter packs in an active state in the marketplace. Rofi added that the public can also report if they find violations related to this through the Online Dispute Resolution system in the marketplace.
