Due to this urgency, last Tuesday, June 20, idEA and Traveloka, supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, held a talkshow entitled "Encouraging the Local Creative Economy Industry in the Digital Age".

The talkshow, which was held directly at the Soesilo Soedarman Hall, the Sapta Pesona Building, presented several speakers in their fields. They are the Chairperson of idEA Bima Laga, Deputy for Digital Economy and Creative Products of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Muhammad Neil El-Himam, Assistant Deputy for Human Resources for the Coordinating Ministry for Tourism and Creative Economy Hermin Esti Setyowati, Director of Creative Economy Marketing at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Erwita Dianti, and Public Policy & Government Relations Manager Traveloka Muhammad Syarif Hidayatullah as resource persons and panelists.

On this occasion, Hermin explained several forms of government policy support for the tourism sector and the creative economy in Indonesia, including by echoing the Proud Made in Indonesia (BBI) and Proud to Tour in Indonesia (BBWI) movements. Hermin is optimistic that the integration of the BBI and BBWI movements will have a significant impact on national economic recovery. In line with this, Erwita Dianti also said that innovation, adaptation and collaboration are strategic steps that are firmly held by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. He believes Tourism and the Creative Economy can support each other.

Meanwhile, Syarif Hidayatullah who represented Traveloka conveyed several impacts of digitalization on accelerating tourism growth, which can be seen directly in the level of consumer confidence, market expansion, and increased demand. Digitalization has also proven to be able to help Indonesia's tourism competitiveness in the global arena.
