Jakarta, Monday, July 6 2015. On Saturday, July 4, 2015 days ago, Minister of Trade Rachmat Gobel inviting Indonesia E-Commerce Association (IDEA) to discuss the RPP E-Commerce who were busy discussed lately. During the meeting, the Minister of Trade said it would involve the Association in the process of drafting these rules.

This meeting is a positive response to the Association in order to enter the Ministry of Commerce better engage actors in generating rules that promote national industry.

On this occasion, the Minister of Trade said that the process of preparation of the RPP will still go through several stages that is long enough to deliver the best outcome. Neither the IDEA nor the Ministry of Commerce agreed that should be prioritized in these rules is the protection of the local players.

Regarding point regulations that would require businesses to have, specify and communicate the identity of the subject of law, the Minister of Trade recognizes the need sufficient time to do the coaching.

As a concrete step, the Minister of Trade and then assign one of its expert staff to cooperate with the Idea in guarding the process of preparing lesson plans for the future. Given a target completion of the draft in August, the two sides will hold a series of intensive meetings in the near future.

Furthermore, we will also discuss the possibility of the Association to participate in the accreditation process e-commerce businesses in Indonesia.

Chairman of IDEA Daniel Tumiwa responded positively to it. "We appreciate Mr. Rachmat Gobel who have responded to our fill. Of course we will make every effort to work closely together with the Ministry of Trade in generating rules that promote the protection of local players. We hope to achieve rules that are conducive to promoting national e-commerce industry."
