INCB Inter-regional Workshop on Public-Private Partnerships for Prevention of Dangerous Substance Trafficking through the Internet

The INCB Workshop, a regular event of the International Narcotics Control Board, was held in Sharm El-Sheik, Egypt by inviting representatives from various stakeholders. The Indonesian E-Commerce Association (idEA) represented by the Head of Public Policy and Government Relations Rofi Uddarojat was also present as one of the speakers at the event.

At the workshop with the theme "Public-Private Partnerships for Prevention of Dangerous Substance Trafficking through the Internet", Rofi introduced the Indonesian E-Commerce Association to the audience. Regarding the topics discussed at the workshop, Rofi further explained that currently idEA as the association that oversees digital economy players is trying to ensure that E-Commerce is always a safe place for all its users. In realizing this security, idEA supports the Public Private Partnership, which allows users to report findings of illegal content for immediate takedown and block keywords by related platforms. In addition, idEA also has a memorandum of understanding with the Indonesian POM Agency since 2019 in terms of monitoring the circulation of drugs and food in E-Commerce.
