idEA Returns Delivering Feedback Related to E-Commerce Tax in FGD E-Commerce Tax, Between Potential and Threat to Online Industry

The Tax Audit Committee invited IDEA along with representatives of other associations / organizations in Public Communication activities on the topic "E-Commerce Taxes, between potential and threats to the online industry" on Thursday, March 15, 2018, located at Juanda II Building, Ministry of Finance. 

Public communication is moderated by Prof. Gunadi, M.Sc, Ak., As Vice Chairman of the Taxation Supervisory Committee, with speakers from the Fiscal Policy Office (Dr. Rofyanto Kurniawan as Chairman of BKF), Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs (represented by Mr. Rosihan), idEA (Bima Laga) and Tokopedia (Sundfitris Lamhot Marulitua Sitompul). 

This public communication is held to gain explanation and open discussion about e-commerce itself and more about the application of taxation on the digital world industry is like what. In this discussion, taxation constraints in the e-commerce industry are presented one by one from resource persons. A level playing field issue is also a sub-topic in the public communication. Prof. Gunadi in his presentation mentions the potential problems in e-commerce which, among others, equal level playing, which translated into equal opportunity, equal accessibility, and equal treatment. 

In the presentation of Mr. Rofriyanto, he said "Taxation is neutral". "Taxation should be able to provide equal treatment between con- sumer business actors and business actors engaged in e-commerce, between domestic platforms and overseas platforms", he continued.
