The E-Commerce Association of Indonesia (idEA) agrees with President Joko Widodo's statement that digital economic education in Indonesia is important. Because, although on the one hand is considered to threaten the conventional business model, but on the other hand the digital economy actually provides many opportunities for the growth of economic activities of society.

So if the issue of digital economic education is not pursued since now, then the development of human resources (HR) in this sector will experience delays.

Difficulties in finding reliable human resources in the digital economy sector finally made the industry players must take human resources based on good insights to be given training first.

"If there is a ready-made human resources in this sector, it will greatly help entrepreneurs. Therefore, digital economy education is very important, "said Mr. Ignatius Untung, Chairman of Business and Economy idEA in Lunch Talk: Waiting for the Digital Economy Department that aired on BeritaSatu TV, Friday (30/11).

Therefore, the mindset about a prospective profession must be changed. Unlike the old days where bright future work was identical to the profession as doctors and engineers, but today the profession associated with the digital economy deserves to be regarded as a promising profession.

"So, it can be said in the digital era today, those who have the ability to tamper with computers can create opportunities and jobs," said Mr Untung. However, Mr Untung said, the entry of the digital economy in education does not have to materialize in the formation of new courses. Because if like that, there will be many programs that impact the impact will make people confused.

"Actually the digital world, like social media for example, is closely related to the science of psychology and behavioral economics. So the science is-that's it, just how we put it in the context of the current era," added Mr Untung.
