The E-Commerce Association of Indonesia (idEA) participated in a symposium titled "A Secure E-Commerce Business For Indonesia Economic Development" held at the Merauke Auditorium of DGCE, Jakarta on Tuesday (23/1). The symposium was held in commemoration of the 66th International Customs Day.

Attending the symposium included Mr. Heru Pambudi, Director General, Directorate General of Customs and Excise; Mrs. Endang Suwartini, Director of IKM Metals, Machinery, Electronics and Equipment, Directorate General of Small and Medium Industries; Aulia Marinto, Chairman of idEA; Derek Wang Representative of Alibaba Inc.; and Choong Heon Lee, eBay Inc. Representative.

This symposium aims to explore the potential of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in order to compete through the international e-commerce platform as well as how the government in this case is DJBC through its policy to support and increase the participation of IKM export of Indonesia. In addition, establishing good communication to reduce the information gap between government and e-commerce actors including the IKM.
