On December 18, 2024, idEA held another regular meeting with government stakeholders, this time with Mr. Theodore Sutarto, Assistant Deputy for Digital Economy Development at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs. Several key issues were discussed, including the Draft Digital Platform Worker Roadmap, planned revisions to PP 71/2019 and PP 80/2019, the Consumer Protection Law revision, e-commerce taxation, and the submission of PPMSE data to BPS.

Mr. Theodore also provided updates on the draft Personal Data Protection Regulation (RPP PDP), which was canceled in October 2024. However, a follow-up Presidential Regulation (Perpres) will address technical rules related to data protection. Furthermore, he requested idEA's support for the ASEAN Digital Economy Framework Agreement (DEFA), which will be implemented starting October 2025 for the next five years.
