In an effort to find a solution to the circulation of illegal palm seeds on digital platforms, last Wednesday, April 5, Agrina Magazine invited the Indonesian E-Commerce Association as a speaker at a Focus Group Discussion held at The Café at The Mayflower, Jakarta. idEA, represented by Pratita Mantovani as the Head of Government Relations, had the opportunity to present material on Consumer Protection for e-Commerce Products.

As a solution to the circulation of illegal palm seeds in the marketplace, idEA proposes a safe harbor policy to be implemented. Joint collaboration is needed in take-down efforts, not only from platforms but also related ministries/agencies, in this case the Ministry of Agriculture, which has a special understanding of oil palm seeds. Apart from that, it is also important to conduct outreach regarding products that are prohibited from being circulated on digital platforms which also need to be intensified to the public.
