Minister of Trade (Mendag), Mr. Enggartiasto Lukita, held a meeting with the Indonesian E-Commerce Association (idEA) as well as representatives from several marketplaces on Thursday (22/2) in Jakarta.

This meeting is discussed to facilitate small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in product sales online.

During the meeting, the Ministry of Trade received input to create a SME / SMI database throughout Indonesia which will be further discussed by the Minister of Trade to be coordinated with the relevant Ministries or Agencies. The Minister also asked the marketplace to provide assistance to SME / IKM.

"E-Commerce we are still growing and need government support" said Chairman of Education Division idEA Mr. M Rosihan. "The Ministry of Trade can help by being a facilitator of e-commerce education in the regions," he said further on the occasion.
