Safe Harbor Policy Discussion: Legal Certainty and Its Impact on the E-Commerce Industry and Digital Economy

Do you know how other countries deal with cases of content violations on e-commerce platforms? Then what is the Safe Harbor Policy in other countries? And to what extent is the effective implementation of Safe Harbor Policy in neighboring countries?

This will also be discussed further in the event on Thursday, August 30, 2018 with the topic "Safe Harbor Policy Discussion: Legal Certainty and Its Impact on the E-Commerce Industry and Digital Economy" at Ashley Hotel, Jakarta.

In this activity IDEA invited the Ministry of Communication and Information, Ministry of Trade and Criminal Investigation of the National Police as the government to be able to inform the development and implementation of the Safe Harbor policy. IDEA members are directly related to Safe Harbor policies such as marketplace and classified ads. And Prof. Kyung Sin Park from Korea University Law School is a foreign observer who is active in internet, free speech, privacy, or copyright issues, on this occasion he will provide a Safe Harbor policy perspective at the regional level.

This discussion is expected to provide information and education to participants on the Safe Harbor policy that applies in Indonesia. As well as facilitating business actors or stakeholders to be able to exchange ideas, provide opinions and input as well as responses to Safe Harbor policies so that the Safe Harbor policy is well targeted and effective.
