As one of the foundations of the digital economy, Presidential Regulation number 74 of 2017 on the E-Commerce Road Map regulates two programs that directly intersect with the protection of personal data, namely consumer protection and cyber security. In order to increase the awareness of society and industry on the protection of personal data, the Association of Indonesian E-commerce (idea) with ICT Watch held a discussion on Personal Data Protection in the digital era on Monday, 5 February 2018 in National Library, Jakarta. The speakers who gave the presentation were Mr Donny B.U (Expert Minister of Communication and Informatics), Mr. Ardy Sutedja (Indonesia Cyber ​​Security Forum) and Mr. Berend Van Der Eijk (Technology and Data Protection Laws Expert) with moderator Sherly Haristya (ICT Watch and Doctoral Student, Nanyang Technology University).
