In order to update regarding the Draft Law on Personal Data Protection, last Wednesday April 12, the Indonesian E-Commerce Association (idEA) visited the Kominfo Office to hold an audience with the Director General of Informatics Applications of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, Semuel Pangerapan. The audience was attended by Deputy Chairperson Ardhanti Nurwidya, Head of the Consumer Protection Division Valdryno, representatives of the board of idEA's Personal Data Protection Division, and the secretariat team.

One of the topics discussed at the meeting included asking the Directorate General of Applications to be a resource person on the idEA personal data protection committee's agenda. It is hoped that idEA and the Directorate General of Aptika can work together to organize socialization and discussion agendas around Personal Data Protection.
