Asia’s premier digital conference offers industry marketers a platform to converge and exchange progressive digital marketing ideas and challenges
SINGAPORE - February 20 2014 - dmg::events, the leading conferences and exhibitions organizer forthe global digital marketing community, today announced the inaugural launch of the ad:tech SoutheastAsia roadshow series in 3 major cities - Jakarta (5th of May), Kuala Lumpur (7th of May) and Bangkok (9th of May). The roadshow series will serve as a prelude to the rebranded regional event, ad:tech asean 2014 the leading digital marketing event in the region, in Singapore from 8-9 July 2014.
Unifying digital marketing and advertising communities, ad:tech asean has been the foremost platform seven years running for marketers to converge and exchange progressive and entrepreneurial approaches to digital marketing. The source of creative and innovative discussions, the event attracts thousands of attendees at every year, with the highest percentage of overseas attendees stemming from Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.
This year, the roadshow series revolves around the theme of “Marketing in a Digital World”. With more than 40 percent of internet users coming from Asia Pacific, and 9.4 percent of total users from Southeast Asia, Jakarta, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur are natural choices to host the roadshows. These countries are large contributors to Southeast Asia’s online population of 62 million, with their respective digital landscapes continuously improving over the past decade.
"Over the years, we have seen new companies emerged out of ad:tech from these high growth potential markets. With the launch of the roadshow, we aim to better engage industry stakeholders and deliver localised content that matters on the ground," said Julia Kwan, General Manager SEA, dmg::events.
"Thailand, ahead of its neighbouring countries in maturity and long term economic growth, has risen 33 percent to reach 24 million Facebook users over a quarter in 2013. Malaysia on the other hand has the fourth highest proportion of “digital natives” in the world with more than 3.9 million Malaysian youth falling under this category. This indeed proves to be an opportunity for marketers to charge ahead as the digital landscape for 2014 gravitates towards increased mobile penetration, native advertising and data."
An impressive line of keynote speakers has been confirmed for ad:tech 2014 and centers on topics such as Mobile, Social, Insights & Data, Measurement & Analytics, Video, Talent, Content Marketing, Engagement and Storytelling, Demystifying Digital, Growth Hacking, Online & Offline Ecosystem and Brand case studies.
