Indonesia E-Commerce Association (IDEA) was established as a forum for communication between the e-commerce industry in Indonesia. With more menggeliatnya e-commerce industry in Indonesia, the higher the interest to create a healthy industry, as well as an integrated means of communication among the actors with industry partners, including the government. When some industry players of e-commerce, among others Berniaga.com, Bhinneka.com, BliBli.com, DealGoing.com, Gramedia.com, Kaskus.us, Multiply.com, Plasa.com, Tokobagus.com and Tokopedia.com meet and brainstorm a few months ago, they also agreed that the association carry out these functions needs to be established. Therefore, erected Indonesia E-Commerce Association (IDEA - Indonesian E-Commerce Association).

 

Vision Association of E-Commerce Indonesia, among others, is to create a healthy industry, as well as a bridge and a good relationship between players in the industry with industrial partners on an ongoing basis, including with the government in terms of regulations relating to the interests of industry, as well as with associations other direct an essential element in the development of e-Commerce industry ecosystem. In addition, IDEA also wants to make a significant contribution to economic growth through e-commerce activities conducted through the platform of each member. In connection with the long-term plans, IDEA want to participate in making Indonesia the largest digital-based economy in Southeast Asia. To realize this vision, it is the mission of the IDEA members to be more active in educating and promoting the e-commerce industry. Seeing that there are still very few e-commerce experts in Indonesia, confirmed that IDEA will focus on human resource development in e-commerce industry.
